(2) Tsugi-ashi (Succeding foot movement)

Assume right natural standing posture by proceeding forward with your right foot. Then, proceed forward by one pace with your left foot at first then right foot and assume right natural standing posture.

From right natural standing posture, retreat backwards by one pace on your right foot at first then left foot and assume right natural standing posture.

Assume left natural standing posture by proceeding forward with your left foot.

Then, proceed forward by one pace with your right foot at first then left foot and assume left natural standing posture.

From left natural standing posture, retreat backwards by one pace on your right foot at first then left foot and assume left natural standing posture.

(3) Migi (Hidari) Sabake (Turning rightward or leftward by about 90°)

From natural standing posture, turn your body rightward by about 90°, bringing your right foot obliquely rightward and backwards, pivoting your left foot on its ball of sole.

However, retain your eyes toward the previous direction.

Then, turn your body leftward by about 90°, bringing your right foot obliquely rightward and forward, pivoting your left on its ball of sole, then assume natural standing posture. From natural standing posture, turn your body leftward by about 90°, bringing your left foot obliquely leftward and backwards, pivoting your right foot on its ball of sole.

However, retain your eyes toward the previous direction.

Turn your body rightward by about 90°, bringing your left foot obliquely leftward and forward, pivoting your right foot on its ball of sole, then assume natural standing posture.
